چکیده
Abstract Secondary β relaxation is a fundamental issue to understand the diffusion, plasticity and glass transition behavior of metallic glasses. Binary glasses provide simple glassy system probe dynamic mechanical processes. In current research, typical binary was investigated by analysis (DMA). The Cu50-xTi50+x (x = 0, 7 9) CuxZr100-x (x = 30, 50, 56, 61.8 64) studied. It found that becomes pronounced with increase copper, which analyzed in framework principle mixing enthalpy. However, CuZr or CuTi much more modest than Y65Co35, Dy65Co35 Y67Cu33.

Relaxation of bulk metallic glasses studied by mechanical spectroscopy.
The relaxational dynamics in metallic glasses (MGs) is investigated by using mechanical spectroscopy. The spectra show that in MGs there are two relaxations: (i) the α relaxation, linked to the glass transition, as observed in other classes of amorphous materials; and (ii) the β relaxation, well observed below the glass transition, with an intensity strongly dependent on the MG composition, the...
متن کاملMechanical Behavior of Zr-Based Metallic Glasses and Their Nanocomposites
In the present chapter, results of our recent investigations on the role of gallium (Ga) on the aluminum (Al) site in Zr69.5Al7.5-xGaxCu12Ni11 metallic glass (MG) composition have been discussed. The material tailoring and cooling rate effects on the mechanical behavior of Zr-based metallic glasses and their nanocomposites have been studied. The substitution of Ga on the Al site in Zr–Al–Cu–Ni ...
متن کاملMechanical Properties of Metallic Glasses
Metallic glasses are known for their outstanding mechanical strength. However, the microscopic mechanism of failure in metallic glasses is not well-understood. In this article we discuss elastic, anelastic and plastic behaviors of metallic glasses from the atomistic point of view, based upon recent results by simulations and experiments. Strong structural disorder affects all properties of meta...
متن کاملThe dynamic compressive behavior of beryllium bearing bulk metallic glasses
In 1993, a new beryllium bearing bulk metallic glass with the nominal composition of Zr41.25Ti13.75Cu12.5Ni10Be22.5 was discovered at Caltech. This metallic glass can be cast as cylindrical rods as large as 16 mm in diameter, which permitted specimens to be fabricated with geometries suitable for dynamic testing. For the first time, the dynamic compressive yield behavior of a metallic glass was...
